The Argo-Saronic Gulf

The classical Greek experience. There are several advantages to picking this area for your trip.

These islands are closest to Athens, giving you the advantage of time. The convenient location means you fly straight into Athens, and when you’re ready to go sailing, head to the Marina and board your boat. Around 90% of Greece’s yachts are here, meaning more options for choice, and generally lower prices.

Mooring bay on the island of Spetses.

The ancient theatre of Epidavros.

Whether you’re into modern history or ancient Archaeology, this is the place for the history buff among us. With the Acoustically perfect ancient theatre of Epidaurus nearby, the Mycenean homeland a small daytrip away, and the home of the Greek Revolution, Hydra and Spetses offer more than just beautiful beaches and great taverns.

The closer distances also mean less time traveling, and more time exploring the local culture and of course, cuisine. The Argo-Saronic Gulf has everything and is known for its sophistication and leisurely elegance. Hydra specifically boasts the reputation of bohemian hot spot and an artists colony, hosting the likes of Leonard Cohen (lived on Hydra between 1960-1967). Spetses also boasts the home of the famous Bouboulina, a heroine and leader of the Greek war of Independence.

All itineraries are flexible, and subject to weather conditions and mooring availability. Let us know if you have any specific requests!

People tend to want to stay some places a bit more than others and our captains are happy to adjust accordingly. People also have different needs/expectations for eating aboard vs. going out every day in Tavernas, etc. This can affect the route, as some of the more remote destinations can be far from restaurants, but are worth visiting (secret beaches, etc.)

Setting of at dawn to beat the waves.
