FAQs

  • As soon as possible! We recommend to book by early spring the year you’re planning on sailing, but earlier is better. Boats are also likely to be discounted if booked early enough.

  • For most charters, the Athens International Airport is easiest. The Airport code is ATH. Check kiwi.com for flights! Some of the islands also have airports if you’re starting in the Dodecanese or Cyclades.

  • This depends on what your itinerary is. Please see specific destinations for the port you’ll be starting your trip.

  • This is an option that we offer. Please get in touch for more specific details.

  • Yes boats are usually chartered in Greece on a weekly basis, which is the standard in the industry. But don’t let this stop you if you’d like to book a longer trip with us. We’ve had charters last over a month!

  • We charter boats of all kinds! But we specialize specifically in the Sailing variety. For size and yacht type recommendations see our Sailing Guide, or get in touch with us directly.

  • This depends greatly on what yacht you decide on. Cabins are usually double bed, so couples or close friends tend to stay together, but single berths are also common. Boat schematics are given for specific yacht options, so you’ll know exactly how everyone will be situated aboard.

  • Bed sheets and towels are included, but beach towels are not standard. These can be supplied for a very reasonable fee.

  • We advise all of our guests to bring soft luggage only. This makes it convenient for storage aboard. Most guests do with one medium/large duffle bag. A good bathing suit is the most important, comfortable clothes/shoes for exploring, and something for going out on the town. Depending on the season, a light jacket might be recommended if it gets windy.

  • Before your sail, we’ll get a preference list from you and your guests, including anything you want extra to be provided aboard. The given price is not including any food or drinks, but food and alcohol is generally very inexpensive in the area. We recommend that our guests visit the local supermarket (after dropping off their stuff) for what they’ll want aboard, with the help of the crew. Unless previously advised, we provide light supplies for sandwiches and a few light meals/snacks, and always load the boat up with water.

  • Along with fuel, food, and a number of other onboard expenses, these are taken care of by the Captain, and part of the APA(Advance Provisioning Allowance). More information can be found on our Sailing Guide.

  • A non-refundable deposit of half of the charter, is required at the time of booking. The final payment and APA should be sent one month before the charter begins.

  • This is what we do best! Depending on your general interests and destinations, we find the best possible itinerary to match(including hidden gems!)

  • Generally food is quite inexpensive in Greece. At restaurants it can go up a bit, but it can range from a couple of euro for a souvlaki/gyro up to 20 to 30 per person at a nice taverna(plus wine)

  • Wire transfer is preferred.

  • The basic itinerary and planning is done ahead of time, and with perfect Greek and English, all of our crew make great translators when need be!
