Head Captain

Originally trained as an archaeologist, Captain Chris found his passion sailing the Mediterranean. With helm experience ranging from ultra-modern luxury catamarans, to century old historic yachts, such as the oldest surviving cat boat (Selina II, currently in Saint Michaels, Maryland) Along with countless regattas and transfers, his focus is sharing his enthusiasm and expertise for all things maritime with guests. Holding both US Commercial Licenses and British Offshore Sailing certification, his appreciation for the art of the sailor and the rich history of the area is unmatched.

Skipper/Mate

With 10+ years of sailing experience under his belt, and a local knowledge and friendly demeanor, Polis is our relief captain. Polis also holds sailing credentials from the RYA.

Chef

With a background in Biology, and a sailor since childhood, Alex has an unmatched passion for Greek cuisine and the Mediterranean. An avid violinist and entertainer, Alex excels at spoiling guests with his dishes, and his multi-talented background makes a valuable addition to any charter.

First Mate

Our resident sailor and first mate, Kleanthis is responsible for ensuring our guests have everything they need, and assisting the captain aboard the yacht. With experience in the service industry, project management and sailing both catamaran and monohull sailing yachts, Kleanthis is a kind and competent part of the Island Sails crew, onshore and offshore.
